“The Stowmarket Lent Assizes 1695”  Jeannette Baldry

In 1695 the Suffolk Lent Assizes were at the last minute transferred from Bury St. Edmunds to Stowmarket, the only time that they have been known to have been held in the town. Jeannette has studied official and other records of the event.
