STOWMARKET GRAMMAR SCHOOL


Stowmarket Grammar School had It's origins in Theobolds School. Needham Market, founded in 1632. Stowmarket Grammar School was opened in Violet Hill. in 1909. On 29th September 1956 the  new school building in Gainsborough Road  was opened [now Stowmarket.Secondary Modern School].

Lord Adrian Master of Trinity College, Cambridge opens the new school building in 1956. L.R.Missen was Chief Education Officer, 
W.H. Naylor the headmaster.
