CHERRY TREE ROAD

    This photograph was taken in Cherry Tree Road looking towards St.Edmunds Road. The date is probably before 1948 and may be celebrations for VE day. Maurice Horrex who features in the photo has given me the following names -

1st boy [on right] Ian Lummis, 2nd boy Brian Baldwin, 3rd boy Maurice Horrex. Among the 5 ladies on right are Mrs Irons with pram and Mrs Burrows, the man holding the tape is Mr. Jackson, the tall boy in middle of queue is Ivan Richards, the girl in the pram is Maurices's sister Yvonne Woodley nee Horrex. Other children in the photo are Sylvia Firman, Joyce Bloomfield, Hazel and Heather Godbold.
